First established in 2006, the Indonesian Film Festival (IFF) is the most prominent celebration of Indonesian cinema in Australia. Held annually in Melbourne, IFF is managed by a non-profit organisation, Indonesian Film Festival (IFF) Inc., with the collaboration of Melbourne University Indonesian Student Association (MUISA). IFF aims to promote the appreciation of Indonesian culture in Australia, as well as raising international awareness of the burgeoning Indonesian film culture.
The 12th Indonesian Film Festival will be showcasing an eclectic range of commercial and art house cinema, from a particular corner of the globe often known for its striking beauty and rich culture. With this year’s theme, ‘Fragments of Time’, the festival will be exploring the cinematic development of the Indonesian film industry throughout the years. IFF pledges to deliver a high standard of cultural and educational entertainment to audiences of all ages.
